GIRLSFOUNDATION; My Review Of The Distribution of Writing Materials

Train Up a Child in the way he should go and by the time he's old, he won't deviate from it!

Children they say are the leaders of tomorrow and if they are not properly taught now, how will they influence their tomorrow? Education at the early stage is very paramount especially in Africa.

Please permit me to add a little piece of my experience to this post. My kid sister just graduated from the primary school and her graduation ceremony held some days ago which I was present.


But seeing what @girlsfoundation is doing, I taught to myself, "imagine the outreach was carried out in this school, I would have been so grateful" because the school lacks so many things but I guess it's because of finance that it was that way.

Back To The Topic At Hand

Education in most countries in Africa has witnessed major setback, be it in materials used in classes or even environmental wise. With the lack of some basic amenities needed in most of these schools which are mostly writing materials such books, pen etc, it would be very challenging for these students to write exams and pass with excellent grades; thereby making it look as if they aren't intelligent.

The importance of quality education cannot be overemphasized because of it's undeniable role in the society. Quality education can make a student more intelligent because the right environment has been created. There ought to be an enabling environment and we cannot continue to wait for the government to do everything.

I believe that was the mindset @girlsfoundation had that made them look out for a need, saw it and they met it.

What Did @girlsfoundation Do?

A team of Wolves led by a Lion would surely defeat a team of lion led by a Wolf!

The @girlsfoundation led by a passionate leader arrived at their designated location earlier than the time they were been expected; A sign of people who are passionate about what they want to do.

On the 18th of July 2018, they paid a visit to a school during their graduation ceremony where they encouraged the graduating students and also Best Graduating Students with gift items to let them know that their efforts weren't a waste and used that as an opportunity to spark them up for more impact.

Apart from that, they gave out a total of 50 NOTEBOOKS and 50 MATHSETs to the students and also an inspiring speech was delivered by @faetee who happens to be the leader of the group.

This was so inspiring and very impactful. I can only but imagine what that gesture would have done to those students. I believe it would inspire them to thrive to be more successful and all these are happening to them because some set of people came together and agreed they wanted to make a change.
