Have you ever heard the popular saying that when you educate a girl child you educate an entire nation?

Today's post is for the importance of the girl child education.

In the olden days, girl's education was strictly based on the interest of the child and approval of parents but nowadays everyone sees educating a girl as a vital tool in advancing the nation.

A girl child is a potential mother, she is a potential caretaker, she is a potential home builder and she is a potential nation builder.

The girl children determine what the upcoming generation holds and offers to the society.
If all girl children are wayward and not educated, this lifestyle will be passed down to their children and it will keep passing down. Before you know it, an entire nation is ridiculed!

Another important point is the need for parents to allow their children make choices of their own!

This factor is one that is generally applicable to both male and female children.
But from recent investigation, I observed that most parents influence what their children study especially girls because the knowledge of girls education has taken a great impact in the society today. Every father wants their girls to be the best and resourceful assets.

This has caused the mounting of pressure on a lady's career by her parents.

A girlfriend of mine who wanted studying home economics got it real hot from her dad who advised that that was her equally getting more close to the kitchen and proving the fact that a woman's place was in the kitchen. Her father then made her to make another choice that wouldn't make her less considered for offers in the society.

There's more than alot of courses in tertiary institution but I solicit that females shouldn't be scared of taking up courses that are related to home management, cooking and house care because they do not want to queue up in the sentiments of ladies serving and not being served.

The girl child education is a case that has equally led to some misconceptions and wrong choice making.

Parents need to avoid trying to restrict a lady from serving because of the pressure the society has mounted on feminism. Basically, some careers are placed in a position where you serve others. I think there are only few careers that don't include one serving others.

Afterall, there are great caterers who have earned and made big out of cooking services.
Parents in a whole need to change their mindsets and see to building a society where everything is done properly and children's educational interests scrutinized with sympathy for the children's own desire and passion.

ADVICE TO GIRLS!

• Do not be frightened by the pressure mounted on you by the society. No!
• Do not try to escape your dreams because they bring out the feminine potentials that differentiate females from male.
• The power to make yourself great is in the ability for you to utilize your knowledge and skills in what ever field of your interest.
