God, Finance and Riches (Money and Your Relationship with God).

in #god5 years ago

The financial principles and teachings God has given us through his ot there to see if we are strong enough to live according to them, but were given because God knows what is best for us.

God's principles about finances go beyond scriptures, which we read and soon forget. God knows our heart and knows everything we think at every moment.

We live in a society with economic changes; everything we have is in danger of being swept away by any financial crisis, even relatively small. It will not be so with those who observe and obey God's financial wisdom; it edifies so that it lasts, so that it is applied to our lives, but not to impress others.

Why did Christ teach about finances?

The reason for this is very simple: He chose an issue with which almost everyone is identified. All the inhabitants of a society are closely linked to money.

Christ never said that money or material things were problems or were evil. He simply said that these were symptoms of real problems. He constantly warned us to guard our hearts from greed, greed, selfishness and pride, because those are the tools that Satan uses to control and manipulate this world. And on many occasions he uses money to get many out of his eternal kingdom.

Christ warned us much more about materialism than any other sin: "And he said unto them, Be alert, and beware of all manner of covetousness; because even if someone has abundance, his life does not consist of his goods. " Luke 12:15
In this quote from the bible we can see how Christ warns us that our life is not about earning money, obtaining goods and power. The riches provided by God are to improve our lives and bring others to salvation.

Is it bad to be rich?

Rico is a very subjective term, but here it is used in relation to having enough money to cover one's reasonable needs and still have some funds left.

God's plan is clearly stated in 2 Corinthians 6: 14-15 "May our abundance in the present time meet the needs of others, so that their abundance also meets our needs", a good alternative of social welfare within the church.

One of the surest signs of worldly principles in Christianity is the love of money. Christ warns us how bad the love of money is but it is not having money.

The fear of not having enough for the future causes many Christians to steal God's work from the same funds He has provided. But the example of the rich fool, given by the Lord in Luke 12: 16-20, should be a clear indication of how balanced God is: "When you doubt ... do not accumulate."

What should we do?

It would be negligence on our part to conclude this study of the ways that finances reflect our faith, if we do not point out some simple steps to begin the application of God's wisdom:

  1. Study the available materials about God's principles for managing finances. You can extract all the principles of the Bible yourself, or carry out an organized study to increase your knowledge with the ideas that others have applied to these principles.

2: Apply pious discipline to your lifestyle. The Word of God makes it very clear that waste and waste are not pious principles, but mundane ones.

Each Christian family should examine their spending habits, and particularly in the areas where there is waste and render an account of their stewardship to God.

3: Teach your children the principles of God. The weight that the financial principles of the world place on your family today is enormous.

More than half of marriages will fail because of unnecessary financial stress. Christian parents should never allow their children to leave home without first equipping them with the fundamental knowledge of the finances they will need to survive in a materially insane society.

4: Teach your neighbors. There are at this time several hundred Christian couples who regularly teach God's principles regarding finances and basic budgets in homes and churches.

Millions are suffering and do not know where to go to get help. They will respond, not only to the financial council, but also to the message of the gospel that must always accompany him.
