The Christian religion has fallen alive with secular and spiritual education, preserving in the new cultural centers the philosophical writings of ancient authors. Philosophy visited the mountains of Armenia and Georgia with the holy fathers of the eastern church; in the schools of Antioch (Syria) and Alexandria, and in the Cartagena lands awaiting the Arab raids (and waited for the Arabic interpretations of Aristotle's work); suddenly, but for a long time received shelter in the Irish islands, in the monastery schools organized by antique models - away from the ravages of steppe hordes; then transferred to the continent and crossed it to duty and to a wide - Paris, Cologne, Prague, Bologna, again on the Islands - Oxford, Cambridge.

The city lost its significance to a center of philosophical activity for five centuries (V-X c.). The ancient texts followed the path of the monarchic movement and the monastery-universities (Paris 1150, Bologna - 1158, Oxford, 1169), philosophy began to regain the "civil rights" taken away (for good or for evil) by monastic libraries or sheltered by imperial courts. It was a refuge for philosophical writings, but it also became the last stop or tomb for some of them. It was not until the XII - XIII century, when the first European ones appeared.

Compared to the ancient world, where the fate of philosophy was solved in the thinking structures of mythos and the logos, for the Middle Ages, a meaningful event was the dialogue of reason and belief in the attainability of God. This dialogue is famous for its multi-layered configurations and its colorful party interpretations. Undoubtedly, it was a strenuous, strenuous, stubborn and fruitful dispute in which spiritual and worldly occasions, interests, and arguments were mixed several times, seemingly "unacceptable." From him the philosophy came out with a changed identity, with an advanced self-consciousness - different from theology and enriched by the ideology of Christianity.
