The new operating system Android 10 Q offers a lot of innovations, which Google told at a conference for developers Google I/O 2019, but something left behind the scenes.

According to the resource TechRadar, the new OS removed support for Android Beam technology. It uses NFC to quickly share files between smartphones. To transfer web pages, photos, videos, contacts and routes from one Android device to another, just attach them to each other. Android Beam was introduced in 2011 along with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The "native" replacement for it is available. You can, of course, use separate applications for this. For example, Google Files, Google Photos and Google Drive, as well as third-party solutions. But all of these solutions are harder to use and can't compare to AirDrop on Apple devices.

The source hopes that Google will offer a replacement for Android Beam with the release of Android 10 Q or the release of autumn smartphones Google Pixel 4, but this is only an unconfirmed hope.
