HOW I TOOK CUTTINGS FROM MY OLD PLANTS 2018

in #graftingplantslast year

Some of my beloved plants were just to big to dig up so I took cuttings by air grafting. I cut away the outer skin on the branch that was to become a new free plant and then wrapped wet sphagnum moss around the cut area. Then wrapped it all in foil and tied the ends up to keep in the moisture so that new roots would grow from the cut area on the branch. Once the roots have developed I cut the branch and potted it into new soil, they grew nicely into new bushes and are now living happily in their new garden.
