An old, historical monastery...
This is Panagia Molybdoskepasti. It means Our Holy Mother, the lead roof. As you can understand, it took that name because the roof of the monastery was made out of lead!
When we revolted against the Turks, bacause ammunition was scarce, the Turks melted the roof and made bullets out of it!!
They say that because of their blasphemy, none of them left the battlefield alive!!!!
It seems like the monastery I had visited some years ago in Greece with the excursion. I like those old monasteries... they are incredible. It is like you touch a piece of old history in nowadays

The irony is, the lead roof was probably poisoning the monks, so the Turks did them a favour :)

Πραγματικά είναι ένα πολύ όμορφο μοναστήρι θυμάσαι εκεί ήτανε και η σαύρα πραγματικά νιώθεις πολύ διαφορετικός όταν μιλάς με αυτούς τους ανθρώπους σε αυτό το μοναστήρι....

When people surrender their lives to some kind of authority (army, church or even an international corporation) they seem to find an inner peace - but that kind of peace is not for me.
I cannot hope to experience the above if I surrender my heart, my mind - and maybe my soul.
