Let's Talk About Eco-Bricking

Hi, Steemheads!

I have been contemplating about making eco-bricks for 6 months now but my procrastinator self is on the way. @meetmysuperego have made a good proposal for us to introduce it to elementary schools in the area however, we are both busy so it has not took off. But after we made an activity last December, I think slowly we can make a lot of things happen this year and personally I want an eco-bricking project to be one of them.

Yes, eveidently plastic is an issue we must all face because it impacts problems in our environment. Everyone should be part of it and it should start somewhere. People are blind and deaf of our environmental issues, an issue all of us MUST face. It has no single solution, and there are many ways to help lessen or solve this crisis. Eco-bricking is one of them.

What is eco-bricking? All information about it are free and downloadable from a website here: https://www.ecobricks.org/. If you are an individual or group and you think you want to start acting to help the world clean up plastic please consider collecting plastic trash and put them in a plastic bottle and make bricks out of them. You will need trash and plastic bottles, a weighing scale, a stick to push the trash into the bottle to compact it inside and a kind of a shredder. You need to shred the huge plastics so they fit in the bottle. This method will contain the single use plastics we have consumed and make sure they do not end up in our oceans and they are used as bricks to build houses and other structures like children's play parks, a pool, and basically anything that you can think of that needs bricks.

There are guidelines on how to make the eco bricks tough and sturdy so better equip yourselves with knowledge and hopefully you can make something out of it. It actually gets me excited when I talk about these things. Also, please try to network with other people and groups that are into eco-bricking because if in case you are too busy to make something out of it, you can actually donate your made eco bricks to others who have a project nearby. I wish I can this as soon as possible, wish me luck. I will be talking about it here in Steemit if I do so.

Here is a video from Youtube courtesy of of the ECOBRICKS Channel, please watch and see for yourself how to make EcoBricks.

This post is just 8th of 365 posts I will do the whole year, dedicated to going Green and sharing Humanity. If you think you wanna make a similar challenge to yourself, of course, you can join and do the same thing, too!

Join me, in my 2019 journey. Thanks for reading and I hope we all can share in Steemit the little things we learn in life as we go along. I wish you all to have a meaningful and prosperous new year!

Love and Peace,
