Curation Initiative for quality content by Steemit Greeters Guild (SGG)

Since after I join the discord Steemit Greeters Guild in short, called SGG, I have noticed the owner @terminallyill tried his best to develop the discord to help the member both short and long term. He constantly communicates and guide us in the discord via chat and DM on the progress, and plan to make SGG a better discord and differentiate from others.
He has initiated several programs lined up for the development of the SGG Listed below:-

1) Recruitment of key role in the discord

• Leader
• Scout
• Greeter
• Guild Trainee
• Guest of honor

In addition, there is also community writer to enhance the discord in providing quality contents

2) Support to members in various Channel

In order to help members especially the newbies, SGG is poised to improve its venue to provide training to key role members, set up channel tutorial class, a reference channel, general communication ( chat ), contest channel as well as curation channel.

3) Curation for quality content

In my experience with SGG discord, it is not easy to manage a curation program, especially for a startup discord like SGG.

The founding father @terminallyill has taken an approach to identify a curation initiative using @thundercurator or better known as @entrepreneur916 as a curator. As a start, this curation trail is manually managed to ensure only quality post that uses the #steemgreetersguild will be assessed and upvoted. This approach takes lots of time and effort to:-

• Firstly look for the post that carried the tag
• Secondly, he must curate the post for its quality
• Thirdly ( I think ) to manage the Steem power to allocate the vote value accordingly.

This manual curation by no mean an easy task.

• Technically, it required personal attention to cope with increasing number of posts which carries the tag #greesterguild,
• secondly to be fair to judge the posts and allocate the vote value accordingly.
• Thirdly to response to inquiry make by member of the Discord on curation matter.

Over the last couple of weeks, I have received several upvotes from @thundercurator which I was informed in the comment. Initially I thought it was run by a bot. So I asked a question in his comment, and I received a response which was not a standard answer by a bot

I am writing this post as my sincerely thanks and appreciation to @thundercurator for his effort and delegation to SGG curation initiave.

Last by not least, many appreciation for the founding father @terminallyill for his commitment to make this SGG a favorable discord for all levels of steemians.
