Low difficulty today
Has anyone else noticed that network difficulty has decreased significantly over the past day? I've been keeping track of difficulty for several weeks now, and it seems to have just dropped off.

There are a few whales with pretty large stake weight, and I think at least one of them has been offline. As far as I know, this isn't connected to anything else in particular.
That was my guess. I didn't think one whale could have that much of an impact.
It can. The one that is offline has >32M GRC. The thumbrule for active weight is netweight = 10M * diff. So 32M in GRC is worth about 3 diff units.
OH FFS!! This was posted 3 days ago and not one person has said it? Come on someone panic and freak out saying that it might be that the blockchain is forked and attempt to cause panic and spread lies??? Come on where is the fun? Why so serious? ( yes I said the last line in my head like the joker , heath ledger version ) :(
