Battleground PH's first ever Gunpla Build Off! (Announcement of winner!)

It was an awesome day for Gunpla (Gundam Plastic Model) Enthusiasts here in Davao City as Battleground PH had it's first ever Gunpla Build Off! Battleground PH is an internet cafe/restaurant here in Davao City near Ateneo High School Gate 8 and is quickly becoming one of Davao's premiere spot for awesome food and gaming with high end PCs that will not disappoint! Oh and their internet speed is amazingly fast so you don't have to worry about your game freezing here!

A lot of communities have already started to bud here. On some days a group of board game enthusiasts come here to play with each other, some of them even bring card games like Magic the Gathering (I would personally flip if someone played Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon TCG). However on this day we welcome the Gunpla Community and their awesome kits that will bring any mecha or robot fan to tears!

The day was filled with a lot of laughs, learning and bonding between fellow gunpla builders. Also add the delicious food readily available! For burgers, fries, shakes to egg waffles with ice cream melting over it! (We will blog about the food soon).

Anyway, as I said I'm pretty sure most of you are more interested with how the contest went and who actually won. So let's get to it. The contest was to be judged by the owners of Battleground PH. The judging criteria included the overall build of the Gunpla, how it represents "Battleground" and finally a photo op with Battleground PH's awesome burger! Yes you heard that right (or read)! BURGER + GUNPLA = AWESOME!!!

Can you just imagine how we felt just starring at that burger and letting our Gunpla have all the fun! One must also note that all of the Gunpla in this event are from Bandai!

That was one awesome Build off and we are definitely excited for more! Don't worry we didn't forget about the winner of the Build off! Congratulations again....Carlo Bangoy! His entry the Graze Ein Won! (The announcement was long made I just got lazy about writing) He just won a Php 500 GC at Battleground PH!

I hope more and more people get interested with Gunpla or at least enjoy taking pictures of Gunpla! We will have a STEEMIT exclusive contest soon so watch out!
