We all have had a time in life where we fell low and we feel negative about ourselves. But does this mean we have a low self-esteem?

NO, Low self-esteem is when someone has a negative feedback and evaluation about oneself constantly. There can be many events that can trigger this nature like a personal loss, tragedy, experience or even a global event that affects someone. Low self-esteem can be so confusing that most people either don't know about it or they become self-defensive in normal situations of life.

In this article, we will try to explore the ways to identify it and also discuss the way to raise self-esteem.

A person with low self-esteem will -

  1. Look for constant approval from others.
  2. His/Her decisions will be more external driven that internal driven means people with low self-esteem will take decisions based on what others will think about it rather than what they think.
  3. They lose their sense of self.
  4. Can't remain focus.
  5. Always curse life and its problems.
    

To overcome this and raise your self esteem -

  1. Care for yourself - We need to be sometimes selfish about life and care about ourselves. Practice positive thinking.

  2. Accept yourself - This might be one of the most important parts of life. We need to accept ourselves and be happy with whoever we are.

  3. Get reasons to be Happy - Although there are no reasons to be happy but cherishing small moments and experiences in life will creating a positive self-image.

These are some very powerful tools we can use in our daily life to be happy and positive.
