Hawaii Missile Alert

B693498F-4FE1-4B2A-8B86-A1E6FD43ED23.pngOver the weekend people all throughout the great state of Hawaii were met with an emergency alert message that basically said there was a ballistic missile heading their way. The message said to take shelter and that “THIS IS NOT A DRILL !”

Everyone in Hawaii recieved this message on their phone at around 8am.

Nearly 40 minutes later the powers that be made sure to let everyone know that everything is ok. According to them, someone pushed the “wrong button” and mistakenly sent out that terrifying alert to all of Hawaii.

I am very torn. Every red blooded American loves a good conspiracy theory and this story sounds so fishy that I want to say that it is.

On the other hand, I learn more and more each day that complete and utter incompetence is usually the case behind so many screwed up things that we would like to ascribe to military or government genius.
