Whale Carcass off Waikiki Attracts Huge Tiger Sharks - Honolulu Hawaii

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) officials reported that there were around 15 large tiger sharks were seen feeding on a 40 to 50-foot sperm whale carcass off Oahu’s south shore. The carcass was first spotted on Thursday afternoon and officials warned the lifeguards. The carcass is floating off to the west and away from Waikiki. Some of the sharks were as large as 14 feet. Officials are monitoring the drift of the carcass in case it drifts to swimming areas.

    If I was going to meet a 15 foot Tiger Shark I would want to make sure it was near a whale carcass. At least that way you know the shark isn't hungry.
