When you feel like you're being watched, and you look up. by Sunscape

I could feel something watching me as I was sitting at the kitchen table having coffee. I turned around to find this guy starring right at me. I have been seeing him for the past two weeks in different spots around the yard. He is waiting and watching the birds feeding near the porch.

Can anyone help identify this Hawk? The best I can figure by online photos is that it is either a "Sharp-shinned Hawk" or perhaps a "Coopers Hawk." I am just curious, as it is now a regular visitor to the yard.

I missed him taking off, so these are the clearest photos I got. Thanks for your input and have a great day everyone.

I swear this is beautiful. I love how unexpected birds are. In my house I always see seagulls, parrots and macaw birds

I would love to see the birds that you have. They are always so colorful, sometimes a bit loud though, especially the Macaw's. Have a great day Maria.

Looks like a sharp-shinned but what do I know. I know they make a living by killing other birds.

I thought so too Mike, I was trying to compare him to google images, but the birds can look so similar. He is after my sparrow flock that comes. Now, I am sure there are over a 100+ birds at any time to feed.

I love the photos, it seems that he was posing for the lens of your camera

I happened to have the camera on the countertop near the table. He was watching me through the window and looking for a bird to have for lunch.
