Actually no weetreebonsai, it has almost the consistency of cork. Although I find it much harder to cut it with a knife or saw. Thanks for the comment ...........billytwohearts

this is the second time this year I've seen a picture and heard or in this case read of such a thing called CHAGA How does on know if they are allergic to such a thing ? good luck to the winner

I have never heard of anyone having an adverse reaction to Chaga, however that does not mean it has never happened. There are tests a person can perform before consuming any type of food etc. I would be inclined to think that if you are allergic to mushroom then Chaga may also affect you!
good to know and darn I'm not a fan of mushrooms lol and totally forgot the first time I heard of this that was mentioned :/ ooops Chaga has me thinking of two words in a song :D ooga chaga ooga chaga ;)
