Vegan food is often associated with the idea of ​​the single consumption of vegetables, and it is overlooked that, in addition to including many more ingredients, you can also prepare delicious sweets and desserts.

Whether you follow a vegan diet or not, know how to prepare desserts, breakfasts or snacks suitable for all audiences always comes well, either by principle or by changing a bit. So, in this post I present a recipe for vegan brownie to delight the greediest veggies.

Vegetarian brownies

This delicious vegan alternative to traditional brownies, in addition to being much healthier is very easy to prepare and here we will tell you how.

Instead of regular sugar, we will use the natural sucrose of the fruit, a flour without gluten and we will not use eggs.

The ingredients are:

300 grams of dates without bone, crushed and pureed.
100 grams of coconut butter or vegetable margarine.
120 grams of applesauce.
80 grams of rice flour, you can also use coconut flour.
2 teaspoons of baking powder.
3 tablespoons cocoa powder WITHOUT sugar.
50 grams of pecan nut.
50 grams of peeled pistachios without salt.

preparation:

  • The first thing to do is put the wet ingredients in a bowl and mix them well.
    Date purée, applesauce and butter

  • In another container we must mix dry ingredients very well. Rice flour, cocoa without sugar and yeast.

  • Mix the two preparations in a container; the dry and the wet with a spoon.

  • We add the nuts to the dough that we have just prepared.

  • Then, we spread a 24 x 24 cm mold with the butter and sprinkle it with the flour. You have to shake the mold to eliminate the excess.

  • Place the dough in the mold and with a spatula we match the surface.

  • We put the mold in the oven and for 20 to 25 minutes we cook at 180 ° C

  • After baking, we must verify that the center of the brownie is soft and the edges well prepared. Let cool before cutting it because you can break our delicious brownie.
