I agree with you. By design, urban living has made it more difficult to move more. The fast pace nature has also pressed us for time.

We can, however, make small incremental choices every day, that, make a huge difference in the long run. For example, take the stairs at every opportunity. Park your car up the street and walk the last 100m to work. Go to the further bathroom on your toilet break. Walk the dog every day. Walk around the office during a call, instead of sitting. There are a hundred more examples. Once you make these micro adjustments, you realize that a little effort every day goes a long way.

Sort:  

I wouldn't say that it is urban life since I live in a rural area and everybody has to drive most places if you don't live in town. Most people don't like walking on the road because of traffic and not having a sidewalk to travel on.

But yes it is all about changing your lifestyle rather then scheduling in your gym time especially if you dislike the gym.
