There’s been an overwhelming response to my posts surrounding health, diet and training here on Steemit. So first, let me say a big thank you for everyone who has been reading and commenting on my blog posts. Second, make sure you keep reading if you want to win Steem in exchange for getting healthier!

I’m blown away by the interest in good food and healthy lifestyles shown by the Steemit community so far. I really hope we can continue to foster that enthusiasm for investing in our health, as a team.

Challenge YOUR health, in six weeks, and WIN!

Over the next six weeks I’m going to be running a Six Week Health Challenge. Each week I’ll be posting a new challenge, aimed at helping you boost your health, energy and well being. To join in with the challenge, all you need to do is make your own post about how you are joining in with the challenge that week, with the tag #sixweekhealth.

But there's more. Every single week, you have the chance to win Sixty-Steem.png! If your post is one of the best four posts, you'll be entered in to the vote. The post with the highest number of votes in the comment section will win sixty Steem. And it gets even better. At the end of the Six Week Health Challenge, the top three authors will be chosen to go in for the final vote. During this final vote, you the Steemit community, will vote for the author whose posts you thought were best and they will winTwo-Hundred-Steem (1).png.

That means we have a prize pool of Five-Hundred-and-Sixty-S.png for you guys to win!

I have seen the passion for healthy living from many in this community. This challenge will allow more people to engage with the discussion and share some of the ways that they incorporate health into their lives.

Week One Challenge!

Cook a new HEALTHY recipe

For the first week of these six challenges, we’re going to get cooking. Your challenge this week is to cook at least one new healthy recipe. A recipe that you haven’t tried to make before. You can find the recipe online, in a cook book or make it up yourself - it doesn't matter.

People complain regularly about healthy eating being boring. This challenge is designed to help change their minds! Cooking interesting, new and different healthy food is the key to keeping things interesting.

Your post can be written however you like, but it must have a new healthy recipe in it. It could have the recipe and a picture of the finished dish or instructions in the form of photos or extra information on the healthy ingredients you used or anything else you can think of. Get creative! Think about what could be helpful and interesting to others trying to improve their health and energy, just like you.

Cooking up a garlic and chilli Stir Fry

Every single week I’ll be setting a new challenge to help you bring better health, happiness and confidence to your life. You can enter the challenge every single week. All you need to do to enter the challenge is to make a blog post, documenting your participation in the challenge, and post it to #sixweekhealth (for the full rules, see below).

Remember, at the end of the week the best four posts will go in for the final vote to win their author sixty Steem – the votes will be cast by you guys in the comment section! Even better than that, at the end of the full Six Week Health Challenge, everyone who joined in will be considered for the final short list of three authors to win themselves two hundred Steem.

Hello again! I said I might consider join this challenge. And maybe I will.I read again and seen that if we're not up for the next challenge we can stop.so, this is it if you dont have time. I have a question though: 1post/week for that weekly challenge its minimal? I mean, we can post several photos for the contest or only one? If we can post many, all of them are considered for selection?or just the first one? :d thank you in advance!

Hey @missdeli, you can do just one week of the challenge if you want or all of them. For this week's challenge you need only post one recipe but if you'd like to post more then you can - they will all be up for consideration :)

Am in as well. I've been trying to loose weight for so long. It's just the best way to start up the year.

Good idea! Love this! I’ve always said though, eating in moderation is the key. You don’t need to stop eating what you love, but need willpower to simply eat less. I only eat between 9-5 and that’s it, unless I’m going out of course with family/friends. Take care fella!

The concept of caloric restriction is as old as humanity itself. In Japan where you eat until you are only 80% full this is called hara hachi bunme, the islamic concept were you reserve 1/3 for your food, 1/3 for your liquids, and 1/3 for your breath in your stomach, soundly represents the yogic mitahara, with half the space for food 1/4 for liquids and 1/4 for air. Pythagoras, Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad, they all fasted for 40 days, ramadan still commemorating this idea.

560 Steem is a good price. This will be very interesting :)
