Incline Bed Therapy

For your Better Health... and free

We always look to better our health or maintain our wellness, but most times we look to complicate the process as we ignore the simple processes as too simple. Well here is one way to increase your health and wellness as you can also rid some health issues that plague you.

Simply raise the head of your bed 5 or 6 inches

By sleeping on a 5-degree incline you may find that it improves your blood circulation, your metabolism, respiratory function, neurological functionality and even your immune system. It is due to the influences of gravity of varying density body fluids. This was first discovered in plants, but then found to apply also in humans, as it perpetuates circulation of blood, lymph, digestive and other body fluids while you sleep.

It's important to realize however, that sleeping on an incline is not the same as sleeping on an adjustable bed. The principle and increased circulations is not the same if you to raise only the head while your lower body remains horizontal. The alignment of your body is the key, as you want your blood and other fluids, to circulate freely throughout your entire body (also avoiding stress on your hip joint).

You can accomplish this easily enough by incrementally raising the head of your bed with lifts under it. Slowly, say one inch per week will allow you to get used to the new position gradually... as opposed to a shock. As example week one you place 1 inch boards under the headboard, week two a two inch board or add another inch board and so on. Or you can build your own wooden bed frame, or cut the legs at you feet (actually this is not reversible so you may want to just lift the head with risers. You can even purchase full-length foam wedges to place under the mattress... but that is not free and if you decide to change back later, you have this useless and probably expensive wedge to do what with?

Actual Story

Before I give you a list of ailments that have been helped with this therapy, let me explain my personal success. I have been a professional Martial Artist for over 40 years, in so I have done some stupid things early in my career. That includes high kicks, full split and rigorous training and fighting processes. Well long story short I wore are my hips and needed a replacement on one (before I knew of this) and started to need the other done. Now I took the pain of the first hip for about 10 years, this one though seemed to progress faster, but another replacement was not what I wanted. So I looked into many things from foods like Turmeric for inflammation, changes in training, new stretches and actions, etc.. The incline sleeping has seemingly mitigated a lot of the pain in the short time I have been using it. For me it is great and I will continue to see where it progresses to. OK now on to a list of what others stated it helped on them... some seem far fetched with such a simple procedure, but hey if it helped my hip, who's to really say.

Inclined bed therapy may ease symptoms associated with:

  • Alzheimer’s
  • Diabetes
  • Glaucoma
  • Migraines
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Sleep apnea
  • Acid reflux
  • Edema
  • Varicose veins
  • Diabetes
  • PTSD
  • More...

It also improves:

  • Blood circulation
  • Metabolism
  • Glymphatic drainage from the brain
  • Immune system function
  • Respiratory function

Cautions

It is not for everyone as nothing really is... so checking with the doctor may be prudent before you begin... my approach is try it first, but I am only responsible for my own actions, not yours...nor am I recommending it. I am just letting you know of a growing health trend that is helping many people and telling you of a personal experience. I even know a person that rid them self of carpal tunnel syndrome using this process (by their own estimation).

Also you should know you could experience sore muscles or a stiff neck for the first week or two until your body has adjusted to this new position or increasing lift. You should also drink more water, as this process will decrease your fluid retention and increase urination (ridding of toxins).

All the best in your adventure to wellness

Gracias por compartir.

that little inclination is perfect i guess i prefer that way ;)

It helped my hip, so let's see what else it helps.

haha, really cool I never thought of this. One other thing you can do is to put a pillow between your knees, it helps straighten you back out while sleeping. I have given you a follow

Well if it works for you it will be...it is probably like everything else as individuals are different, it will help some and others not so much. But it is free and easy and I think worth a try.

Yes that is true, there has been alot of research behind it though

brillant idea , so cool thanks @kyusho
