Hi friends, I take advantage of my week off to put order in my house, to put away rooms, drawers or cabinets where the disorder reigns for a long time and for which I never have time to devote when I work.

When I do this kind of storage, I empty it, everything that I hardly use or never or that I have not used for years, I get rid of it, I give it to the family or bring it to my work where it is common to give gifts to the needy. I work in a social welfare center that helps people who are not entitled to unemployment benefits and who live in extreme poverty, women with children, old lady who does not have enough pension, refugee , young teenager who was rejected by his family, ...

What I'm doing is actually getting closer to Feng Shui.

Feng Shui is a Chinese art aimed at finding an environmental well being. Feng Shui, literally "wind" and "water" in Chinese, is the ancestral art of circulating vital energy, chi optimally to produce harmony and abundance.

The principle of Feng Shui comes from the Taoist movement which is based on the complementarity of yin and yang. The yin parts of a house thus correspond to the back of the building (the bedrooms, bathrooms) and the yang parts are the parts that are traditionally found at the front of the house (living room, kitchen, entrance, office). By arranging the rooms in this way, the living rooms allow the energy to circulate freely throughout the home.
This energy allows people to find the right balance. This Chinese art would even have virtues on health.

Feng Shui at home

Hunt bad vibrations

If there is a beam visible on the ceiling it is nice indeed but it cuts in two the vital energy of a room. If, however, there is a beam in your house, do not panic, the only thing to do is leave this empty space, do not put anything below or around. For example, if you place your bed under a beam, you risk having a restless sleep and being tired.
However, if all your ceilings are decorated with beams, you can hang colorful decorations (mobile, fabrics, ...) to strengthen the energy.

The paintings on the walls of sad or dark nature are to be avoided, paintings that represent a war scene or a dark and sad atmosphere or a face that is difficult, indeed, these decorations permeate and condition the places of their particular energy.

Avoid exposing in the children's room stuffed animals that represent ferocious beasts, swords of knights and cowboy pistols, it is better to put them in a chest or a cupboard.

Avoid directing the head or foot of the bed to a door or opening, which leads to loss of energy and loss of security.

Putting a fountain in your living room thinking that the sound of water will calm us is not a good idea, because with water your vital energy flows.

Avoid aggressive plants, those with rigid leaves in the shape of a knife or sword, but also peaks such as cacti with long quills. Bonsai too, contrary to what one might believe and even if it brings a zen touch, because they contain the energy trapped large trees, suddenly, they do not provide good energy.
If you have sick or dying plants, you have to either treat them or replace them. Do not keep bouquets of dried flowers either, they are symbols of death. To benefit from the virtues of indoor plants, place them in the southeast corner of the home, which symbolizes prosperity.

If you do not know the cardinal points of your home, take a compass, it's an opportunity to learn how to use it, it can always be used in many situations.

Get rid of chipped dishes, bumpy pans, patched utensils or broken down kitchen robots, they block the vital energy of your home.

Avoid putting striped curtains or plaids, heavy and dark fabrics, indeed, the stripes are symbolic bars, they imprison us and obstruct the chi coming from outside.

Turn off your electrical devices (TV, computer, stereo, etc.), whose waves disrupt the circulation of the chi.

Make energy circulate in your home

Respect the yin-yang balance. Yang symbolizes acting, yin, letting go. For there to be harmony, a balance between the two principles is necessary. Materials: hard, smooth and shiny materials (glass, steel, marble ...) are yang, heavy materials (wood, thick fabrics ...) are yin. Shapes: the curves are yin (except the circle), while the lines are yang.
Ideally, our interior should be lit by natural light. She brings us the chi, it must illuminate all our living space to energize it.

If unfortunately, your home is dark, it is possible to compensate for this loss of clarity. For example, leave lights lit, add touches of color such as cushions, throws, ottomans, ... You can also move the energy of a room by playing energetic music.

The chi logically enters the front door. To avoid blocking it, avoid letting things go in the lobby, clothes that dry, shoes on the doormat, a big piece of furniture that takes up all the space, abandoned shopping bags that will be put away later, …
It is said that the chi must advance in great circular motions without encountering obstacles that slow him down. The entrance to the house must always be well lit, if it is dark, it makes fall fresh energies that penetrate.

Dust and clutter are also two major consumers of vital energy. Get rid of old paperwork, empty garbage cans regularly. Air every day, especially when you do the housework and dust fly everywhere which will make you enjoy the energy of light and fresh air outside.

Your mirrors and windows should be as clean as possible to allow maximum clarity.

A lamp placed above the table where one takes one's meal will bring a peaceful atmosphere and happiness and harmony in the family.

The mobiles, a set of suspended, articulated and colored elements have a calming effect: they neutralize the negative energies that they scatter and restore balance in rooms with very high ceilings.

The moods of colors

The colors are yin or yang. We must therefore ensure their balance in each room of the house taking into account their dominant energy. If a coin is too yin or too yang, use it to rebalance it. The colors also have their own symbolism, which is important to know to avoid unfortunate mixtures.

Orange: yang. Radiant energy. Enthusiasm, curiosity, favors cycle changes.
Red: yang. Energy of concrete action. Sensuality, ardor, favors passionate exchanges.
Yellow: yang. Energy of renewal. Transformation, liberation, promotes intellectual work.
Green: yin. Energy of serenity. Quietness, abundance, favors the right initiatives.
Blue: yin. Spiritual energy. Serenity, intuition, promotes the opening of consciousness and heart.
Brown: yin. Energy anchoring. Comfort, security, promotes pragmatic thinking.

This is a small glimpse of the spirit of Feng Shui, after doing research on the subject, I realize that overall my house is relatively based on Feng Shui without doing it on purpose, but I have some modifications to bring, indeed, for example, I always put dry clothes that do not go into the dryer on the banister of the stairs that is right in the lobby, which apparently would prevent the Chi from going in and out easily. Especially since it is not very aesthetic when you have the visit.

You can try making small changes piece by piece, also listening to your desires (more plants, colors, light ...) and starting with your main living room, the one where you and your family spend the most time. time.

I hope you enjoyed this article. I wish you an excellent Zen day ;o)

fengshui is also very popular in india

This is really very very helpful

I've heard a lot about the hair dryer-Shuya and think that people who practice it in their home and in everyday life, are more likely to achieve harmony and tranquility. Modern man just needs to blend in with the surrounding world. But first recharge must occur in the place where we spend most of the time, and needs to be filled with power - this is our house. When the house is in order in all senses - and then in your life the harmony and prosperity:) Thank you for this informative article

Yeah great ideas and you do so well
