HELLO FRIENDS😊

.

When we reflect on our health, it automatically comes to mind "eat fruits and vegetables" or "do 30 minutes of exercise a day" (thanks TV ...). Advice that, as we have repeated so many times, we end up despising. Here we do not come to tell you that your life is a complete deception and everything you believe about health is wrong.

We will respect your eating habits and daily activities.

The health is first😊

Although we have not realized, each of us has a different health concept on the side.

We can easily see it with people who say that a "plump" child is healthy, only that "it is wide bones". To a certain extent, children do not need to follow a very strict diet to be fit. But some are trying to cover the sun with their finger:

I'm healthy?

we forget the people who diagnose overweight people like: "You have broad bones," there would still be different opinions among specialists. Why?

The traditional

Since ancient times, in ancient Greece1. there were established concepts where body and mind were fundamental factors to define the health of any person. These two factors were seen as different.

If there was no abnormality in his body and mind, it meant that the person was healthy. We should not feel outdated if this thought seems logical to us. Nowadays, the biomedical model (used by different doctors) has adopted this ideology to diagnose us.

Digging a bit more

Then there is the biopsychosocial model, which not only diagnoses the symptoms that occur in our body, but also tries to see what would be the cause that produced this discomfort. And to be able to cure someone, the support of different branches is needed: Psychology, Nutrition, Medicine, et cetera.

Let's make an example:

Biomedical: The person has a pain in the head and goes to a specialist and recommends some medicines to reduce or relieve pain.

Biopsychosocial: The specialist investigates to know what factor may cause it to continue with this symptom and relies on extra consultations with the nutritionist or psychologist.

It's in us

Regardless of which model you diagnose us with, we must try to develop a mindset to prevent future problems. We like mental issues more. What will happen in the mind during a chronic illness (such as cancer or diabetes). We are also struck by the factors that can influence us to get sick.

This psychology helps us to become aware of what happens in our mind when we decide to opt for harmful habits. With this to prevent future tragedies.

To avoid telling them a long story, let's adopt the teachings that health psychology can give us. We question all our eating habits and attitudes towards a possible illness, do not fall into the: "this will never happen to me".

Doing the above, not only save us many tragedies. But also, we will take a burden off doctors who, on occasion, have a huge line of patients and a tremendous desire to go to rest a bit.

And what do you do to improve your health?
