Almost every one of you must hear about the Ebola virus in the web series named JACK RYAN......but their are some knowledge i want to share with you about the Ebola virus....Most of the data is picked up from WHO and Wikipedia.
Ebola is a hazardous disease of HUMAN and PRIMATES, which are non humans. The Ebola is also known as Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever. This deadliest virus fall under Family Filoviridae.
In 1976, the first outbreak of Ebola virus occurs in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its name come from the river of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

HOW IT TRANSMITTED ????
The natural reservoir host of Ebola virus is fruit bat. IT is noted that the direct transmission from animal to human is no noticeable, AS it is transmitted by the direct contact with infected blood, secretions, tissues, organs and other bodily fluids from dead or living infected persons, and in the persons which generally meat of the wild animal of infected animal, and the person who are in close contact with the primates like chimpanzee, monkeys.

CLINICAL MANIFESTATION –

AS mentioned it is a killer virus so it is too much lethal and symptoms are liver and kidney failure, liver failure even death may occurs within 7 to 16 days.
It causes a hemorrhagic type of fever.
SYMPTOMS are-
• Fever
• Severe headache
• Muscle pain
• Diarrhea
• vomiting
• Abdominal pain
• Bruising or bleeding

PROTECTION
In the health care worker special protection needed because the Ebola virus is BSL 4 (biosafety level-4 pathogens) .
The virus can live for many days in liquid or dried materials.
The virus can be killed by use of Gamma radiation and is also sensitive for the Bleach (Sodium hypochlorite)
