The physic nut (helps to eliminate stomach pain a filipino tradition of healing)

Good morning steemians.

I wanted to share to you guys one of some filipino traditionals , this one was about health. Since i was young and i guess lots of filipinos too know this tradition. Again when i was young and i felt stomach pain my mother always do this she will get those leaves of a tree know in our place as tuba-tuba or physic nut in english she will rub oil in her palm and put the oil in my stomach then she will also put the tuba tuba leaves or physic nut. We believe that it will help to remove the pain from stomach. I dont know if it have a scientific basis or just a pure tradition of us filipinos. But now since i already have my own child i still do this old tradition of healing to my son whenever he felt discomfort on his stomach. I still believe that tuba tuba leaves or physic nut will help to remove the pain or discomfort on stomach. We leave the tuba tuba leaves for an hour on stomach until the discomfort or pain goes away. Even though i didn't know if it has scientific basis based on my own experience i can say that it is truely help to ease discomfort or pain in the stomach.
