Maurice Tillet was a pro wrestler who was a former world champion. The was known as the French Angel, and has a long as successful career, mostly in the 1940’s.
He suffered from acromegaly, which made his head and hands grow extra large. The cause of this is a growth in the pituitary gland. He is inspirational because he lived a fulfilled and successful life with this condition.
While it is not known for sure if he inspired Shrek, the resemblance is uncanny. What do you think?
