Pregnancy is the dream of every newly married couple because they will have offspring from the fruit of their love. Kehamilan merupakan impian setiap pasangan yang baru menikah karena mereka akan memiliki keturunan dari buah cinta mereka. Memilih makanan yang tepat perlu perhatian ibu didalam menjaga kondisi kesehatannya dan janin yang dikandungnya, apalagi pada awal kehamilan, makanan yang sesuai akan membantu ibu mencegah muntah-muntah yang berkepanjangan diawal usia kehamilannya sehingga akan terciptanya kesehatan diri dan bayinya.

Sering kita dengar larangan mengkonsumsi jenis makanan tertentu diawal usia kehamilannya, awal kehamilan merupakan fase dimana rwntannya terjadi gangguan pertumbuhan janin, dan tak jarang dijumpai ibu dengan keguguran saat usia baru mencapai 1 sampai 4 bulan. Makanan yang berfregmentasi ada baiknya di hindari untuk ibu hamil, apalagi kondisi rahimnya yang lemah. Sedikit saja melakukan kesalahan akan menimbulkan resiko keguguran.

Untuk itu dibutuhkan pendidikan kesehatan kepada ibu hamil tentang potensi negatif yang ditimbulkan tanpa pengetahuan yang memadai. Memilih makanan yang tepat merupakan salah satu solusi mengantisipasi hal ini.
Karena ada jenis makanan tertentu yang harus di hindari dan diperlukan oleh tubuh untuk menunjang pertumbuhan dan perkembangan kehamilan.

Ada beberapa jenis makanan yang dibutuhkan selama kehamilan, antara lain seperti sayur-sayuran hijau (bayam, brokoli dan sawi) makanan ini mengandung asam folat yang tinggi sehingga sangat membantu pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi. Kemudian buah-buahan (pilih buahan-buahan yang segar dan hindari buah yang telah dilakukan pengalengan karena banyak mengandung pengawet. Pengawet dapat mengganggu pertumbuhan dan perkembangan janin dalam kandungan). Buah-buahan yang dapat membantu pertumbuhan dan perkembangan janin beruba pisang, jeruk, anggur, kurma dan lain-lain. Hindari buah-buahan seperti durian karena dapat membuat janin terganggu.

Selain itu produk olahan seperti susu juga berperan penting didalam menjaga pertumbuhan dan perkembangan janin didalam kandungan. Tahap awal kehamilan merupakan fase dimana perlu perhatian khusus untuk kelanjutan perkembangan janin menuju fase selanjutnya.
