Exercise and sleep may affect depression differently in men and women, according to a new study.

According to Weiyun Chen, an associate professor of kinesiology at the University of Michigan, he says that vigorous and moderate physical activity helped men to protect against depression.

for women, he said that no level of physical and vigorous activity significantly affected depression.

Although there’s a dearth of female-focused research, this contradicts general conclusions that regular physical activity helps reduce depression.

He continued..... Although This finding may have resulted in the sense that few women compared to men exercised at high intensity. This prompt researchers findings, couldn’t detect any protective effect of high-intensity exercise in women when they analyzed the data by gender.
