Let’s go to free market with our health care – our lives depend on it

Let's get our health back! Increasing numbers of people in the US are suffering from serious medical conditions, including cancer, diabetes, autism, and opioid addiction, among many others. Under the care of the institutions which we've let be responsible for our health, we are unfortunately becoming alarmingly less healthy, and also paying through the nose for this state of affairs.

We could sit around and speculate about the serious conflict of interest people in these areas have, where they make obscenely high amounts of money when people are sick, and no money when people are healthy, or we could agree this needs serious reform immediately, since lives literally depend on it.

Right now, medicine can be sold in the US if the FDA approves it. And it can be sold for $87,000 instead of $30 since insurance has been setup to pay this. But the FDA, and the health insurance companies, big pharma, the CDC, the whole inter-twined industry has proved themselves to be not responsible. If you turn on the television, not too much time will pass before there is a commercial about some FDA-approved product that has serious known side-effects, or a lawsuit about one. Since the FDA does not provide medicines that are safe to take, and which even kill people, they are doing more harm than good. They have not been responsible so they should lose their privilege of approving drugs. This should have happened a long time ago, but it would be better late than never. The sooner both the FDA and CDC get shut down, the better.

There are ethical doctors and pharmacists. These people should be moved to positions where they can make recommendations on treatments for their patients without being tempted by bribes from people who sell medicines, and also without making much more money when their patients stay ill. We need serious reform, and this could start will making anything that even looks like a bribe or payment to promote a certain treatment illegal.

Also, any medicine which health-care practitioners believe would be the best treatment for their patients should be allowed to be presented to patients as treatment options. It is ridiculous that we can find doctors getting in trouble for curing patients! And also other doctors getting rich for doing the opposite. This industry is like a sick joke. Shut it down, now!

In this free country, the free citizens should have the final say in what they put, or do not put, into their bodies, and also over what they use, or do not use, for their own health. They should get recommendations about this from their health-care professionals.

So, what if there are snake-oil salesmen out there? OMG there are snake-oil salesmen out there! And worse than that, a lot of the snake oil is not only not helpful, it is straight-out poison. Some of these are employed by our own government! This is our government. Shut them down.

There have always been both honest and dishonest people working in health care. Currently, many dishonest people, who have no interest in patients getting healthy, have a lot of power. We should empower patients to decide for ourselves who can be trusted, and what treatment works for us, just like with many other things. Where our pharmaceutical companies have a conflict of interest to keep patients sick, and they have demonstrated clearly how they handle this, patients do not tend to have such a conflict. Patients would rather be healthy. So patients are in the better position to make these decisions.

Also, patients would rather pay a fair price for medicine than get extorted on pain of death, like we are currently. If medicine had free-market pricing, health-insurance would be much more reasonable as well. Anther problem solved, just like that.
