kangkong
Kangkong is a tropical plant and classified as a vegetable. This is an edible plant popular here in the Philippines. It can grow in rivers or any body of water. However, it can also be cultivated in moist soil. It is grown by planting cut stem of it and let it grow roots. In rivers, it floats and can support a habitat for birds.
Here in the Philippine,s it is used in dishes such as Sinigang
andAdobo
. I like it stir-fried together with tofu. There are times it is just steamed and topped with tomatoes, onions and some spices.
Kangkongs leaves are an arrow-shaped. It has tender stem and leaves and trumpet-like flowers.
