HEROcoin goes Mainnet!
Hey everyone!
After a long time I am back once more with great news for HEROcoin holders and in general for all blockchain enthusiasts!
HEROcoin switched exactly 1 year and 11 days after the ICO from Ropsten Testnet to Mainnet, what means that they managed to deliver one of the first real blockchain products! That's awesome, isn't it?
What is it all about and what happened?
If you are new hear or hear the first time about HEROcoin I will sum it up for you.
HEROcoin (Tickername: PLAY) is an Ethereum based ERC20 token. It was issued by byte heroes GmbH, a Vienna based Start-up, with a total supply of 252.165.029 PLAY and a circulating supply of 122.197.707 PLAY (source)
The goal is to create a whole online betting ecosphere with HEROcoin. As a first use case byte heroes offer Herosphere, a platform where you can bet on professional e-sports tournament.
At the moment it is possible to bet on League of Legend, CS:GO, DOTA2 and Overwatch, but you can expect to see way more games in the future 😉
Because Herosphere was around since 2014, operating with a virtual currency called "Spheres" they have over 250k registered users and thereby potential users for PLAY!
The first open beta contests are different buy-in options for the League of Legends World Finals. On top of the possible win of the contest, HERO gives the winner of the 5k contest additional 175.000 PLAY and the winner of the 20k contest additional 265.000 PLAY.
There are around 12 hours left to join before the contest will be closed so if you are interested I suggest you better be quick and take your chance to win an amazing high pot!
What else is going on?
Herosphere is getting re-shaped with a new interface as you can see on this litte sneek peek and if you ask me: It looks pretty damn cool!

And on top of all the great news, HERO announced a partnership with Coinswitch, a platform where you can easily switch various cryptocurrencies directly to PLAY. This will make it way easier and more user-friendly to use PLAY and bet with it.
