Annual MD Hike
First of all I woke up to these babies of mine presented me with my very own charcuterie board. It is gorgeous walnut from our trees. Then we got ready to hike!
Every year some of our very best friends and ourselves do an annual Mothers Day hike. The red river gorge is absolutely breathtaking. If you are ever in the Kentucky area, you won't be disappointed making time to hike in the gorge. It is in my opinion one of the most beautiful places in the US. There's tons of natural arches and bridges and waterfalls. We haven't been disappointed yet.
We follow it up with one of the top 50 pizza places in the US. Miguel's Pizza is a hole in the wall pizza joint that also allows hikers/climbers stay on their property. People from all over the world have hiked the cliffs in the Red River Gorge. It is absolutely amazing! This hike was not filled with beautiful high landscapes of the gorge, but an arch, waterfall, and tons of foliage! 5 miles later, we made it out alive!!! Hope y'all had a fantastic day. We spent Christmas of 2016 at Red River Gorge! I loved it! We rented a little cabin. Unfortunately we weren't prepared for hiking and we missed these sights as well as the many arches that are boasted about. I'm so glad you had a good Mother's Day. Thanks for sharing!
