Hiking Besseggen (Norway)!

Norway is such an incredibly beautiful country! So much water everywhere, the fjords, lakes, rivers and waterfalls, this makes fantastic and diverse landscapes!
The famous Besseggen in Jotunheimen Nasjonalpark is one of the most magnificent hikes I have done in my life (I guess this is why it is so popular...)

Starting with the boat at Gjendebåten over the almost turquoise coloured lake (the colour comes from the glacier water I guess)

The view just keeps getting better and better...

After a modest ascent you reach the ridge: On one side the turquoise glacier lake 1000m below, on the other side another lake, a lot higher and with a darker blue colour!

From there the path leads through gravel, where you reach the highest point of the hike and descent again to reach Gjendebåten again, where the ship started.
