Someone make a Battle of Jutland movie or mini-series!

World War I happened a hundred years ago. I have noticed a sharp uptick in new entertainment from that era. Movies (War Horse), TV shows (Downton Abbey), mini series (Our World War) and video games (Battlefield 1).

What I haven't seen yet, is a movie or mini-series about the Battle of Jutland.

I mean, it was THE big battleship fight of the 20th Century. Nothing else comes close. The scale of the battle (the number of ships involved) was immense.

I don't even really care that it would have to be Computer Generated Graphics (CGI) heavy to work. Done well, I think it could be pretty spectacular. The CGI in the movie Battleship didn't bother me too much and the lack of aliens would just make it more believable. For the movie Titanic gigantic sets were built. I think something comparable could be done here. As a naval history buff, I'm enthralled by the idea of it. Even a more casual war movie fan would enjoy it. Anyone really into disaster porn flicks is gonna love the exploding battlecruisers.

I feel like the entertainment world is grasping for stuff, hince all the reboots and all the attempts at new shows and movies that platforms like Netflix are testing out. But I feel like Jutland sits untouched and its so painfully obvious that its there. The timing (it happened 100 years ago!) makes it even more relevant.

So who's with me in showing support for a Battle of Jutland movie or mini-series? Who knows, maybe the right person will see this and feel inspired.
