Coin-stamps are part of history

Shamsul Hussain, former Curator of Chittagong University Museum, was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony with the chairmanship of AHM Ferdous, chairman of the exhibition. The special guest was poet and journalist Abul Momen and editor of the draft of the history Muhammad Shamsul Haque.
The speakers said, "Chittagong is a seminar with the currency of Calcutta, but the people of Chittagong do not know. History will make the country prosperous. Currency stamps are part of our history. If we preserve these, our Bengali history will survive. '
The three-day exhibition includes the coins of the independent sultan of the medieval Bengal, the currency of Mughal emperor, the monetary currency and banknotes in Bangladesh, currency notes issued after independence and banknotes, sample banknotes, war-lit stamps, subject-based stamps, stamps of different countries, British India Coins and banknotes, British-Indian military, civilian and various of Bangladesh Medals, Dishalai Box, Old Documents, Tribal Ornaments, etc. are displayed.
The exhibition will be held from 9 am to 9 pm and Saturday from 4 pm to 9 pm on Saturday. Chittagong Post Master General Ananda Mohan Dutta will be guest at the closing ceremony on Saturday.
The postal stationery commission Delgate Muhammad Monirul Islam will conduct workshops on stamp collection on Friday evening. The coin collector Muhammad Shamsuddin will conduct a workshop on the collection and conservation of coins on Saturday evening.
