Sejarah Penemuan Peniti
Peniti merupakan benda yang tidak asing dalam kehidupan kita.
Walter Hunt, yang merupakan penemu peniti berasal dari Winchester, Amerika Serikat, pada tahun 1849.
Pada suatu hari, Hunt sedang memilih beberapa potongan kabel, spontan dari kabel-kabel tersebut keluarlah ide untuk menciptakan sebuah benta yang sekarang dikenal dengan nama peniti.
Peniti dipatenkan pada 10 April 1849, atas keinginan Hunt agar ciptaannya tidak ditiru.
Namun Hunt menjual hak paten tersebut seharga 400 dollar.
