War really is so senseless @natubat!
My late father in law was sent to Egypt during the Second World War, we still have the medals, but what he saw in that war scarred him badly! He did not want to talk about it, a big mistake as he obviously suffered a little shell-shock, but in those days discussions about unpleasant experiences were avoided which was so bad for the one suffering from PTSD!
