He was one of the Rockstars of Physics and one of the Nobel Prize-winning physicists in 1965, alongside Julian Schwinger and Sin-Itiro Tomonaga, for his contributions to the development of quantum electrodynamics. He smoked #Marijuana while experimenting with sensory deprivation.

Curious About Hallucination, he started writing his book Surely, You’re Joking Mr. Feynman! Completely sober.

During these periods, he confined himself to dark isolation tanks. Starving his senses yielded one thing for sure. He Tripped. But hallucinating this way could take a long time.

So he dropped LSD and started enjoying the Effects of Marijuana. After that, the revolutionary book practically wrote itself. He wrote:

He is Richard Phillips Feynman (May 11, 1918 – February 15, 1988). He was known for his contributions to quantum physics, quantum electrodynamics and particle physics, as well as quantum computing and nanotechnology.

He developed a wide used picturing theme for the mathematical expressions describing the behavior of subatomic particles, which later became known as Feynman Diagrams.

During his lifetime, he became one of the Best-Known Scientists in the world, and was a great popularizer of physics through his books and lectures.

In a 1999 poll of 130 leading physicists worldwide by the British Journal Physics World he was ranked as one of the ten greatest physicists of all time.

He brought a wicked Sense of Humour to his work, as typified by his well-known quote:

I think I can safely say that nobody understands quantum mechanics.

He Smoked Marijuana and he passingly mentions using it in his autobiography and he refered to his being thanked by a young hippie type for an Enlightened Statement about it in the 60's.

The "Altered States" chapter in Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman described taking marijuana and ketamine at John Lilly's sensory deprivation tanks.

His Use of Pot was mostly in the context of experimenting with his own consciousness while in a sensory deprivation tank, and he found that Marijuana helped him to reach the Hallucinatory State he was seeking.

Ordinarily it would take me about fifteen minutes to get a hallucination going,

Wrote Feynman,

but on a few occasions, when I smoked some marijuana beforehand, it came very quickly.

Smoking the weed and learning the things was his favorite. He describes the importance of new perspectives and takes the world from another point of view.
