Juan Montalvo Ecuadorian poet lived in his country house located in Ficoa (Ambato), the house has a colonial type construction; that they were walls lined with adobe (a mixture of cow dung or donkey, with straw and mud), roof made of clay tiles. The simple and unadorned architecture, columns and wooden doors, with patios around the house, plus large trees that give a little mystery to the house.

In the photo we can see the statue of Juan Montalva, the figure that gives it an aspect of reality, that place was one of its most visited places by important personalities of that time, due to the great popularity that this character had in the world of politics.
We can see his bedroom that was the one that witnessed the moments of passion encounters with his beloved wife, with whom he had two beautiful children, who came to fill the gardens of his house.

A very welcoming home, where he shared the best years of his life with his family and friends, a home full of small details that makes him move to that time of the nineteenth century and meet the illustrious analyst and writer of great works where he performed the denunciations against the tyranny of the rulers.
