Sivas

According to research, the communities began to live in Sivas in the Neolithic age. Sivas was used by the Hittites in the 17th century BC for the first time as a city. After these years, Kimmer and the Scythian states tried to conquer Sivas many times. But these states have failed.

In the 6th century BC, Sivas was conquered by the Med kingdom. A short time later, Sivas was conquered by the Persian Empire. After the Persians defeated by Alexander the Great, they left Sivas. In the 17th century, Sivas was conquered by the Roman Empire.

In 1059, Sivas was conquered by the Turks. And until 1398, Sivas changed hands between many Turkish states. In 1398, Sivas was conquered by the Ottoman Empire. In the following years, many countries tried to conquer Sivas. But these states have failed. After the breakup of the Ottoman Empire, Sivas has been a city of the Republic of Turkey.
