French token of Mayence (Mainz)
Here is an engraving from the book of Victor Guilloteau about the french coins.
During the french revolution, the french troops took the city of Mayence. The bridge of the city passing the Rhin, was using tokens, new tokens with french countermark appear during this short period.
These tokens are rare . this one was for 2 Kr (kreuzer)
