  • US President Thomas Woodrow Wilson reticently responds to the ceasefire bid by the Central Powers.

  • According to official data, Berlin currently has 17 people suffering from acute cholera. 13 patients have already succumbed to the disease.

  • As one of the first municipalities in the German Reich, the administration of the city of Dusseldorf allows adolescents between 8 and 14 years access to the city libraries. The permission should counteract the further neglect of the young people.
