Great History
Rumeli Hisari is one of the oldest buildings of the Ottoman Empire in Istanbul. The Rumeli Hisarı is located in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul, on the Bosphorus. The great conqueror of Istanbul was built by Fatih Sultan Mehmed. Sultan gave importance to this architecture. He took part in the construction himself.
Rumeli Hisarı and Anadolu Hisarı are like two soldiers facing each other. This magnificent work of Fatih Sultan Mehmed was completed on August 31, 1452. It is located at the narrowest part of Istanbul's throat. It was made to prevent attacks that may come to Istanbul. Now, cultural and artistic events and major concert organizations are held.

Rumeli Hisarı, İstanbul'daki Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun en eski yapılarından biridir. Rumeli Hisarı, İstanbul'un Sarıyer ilçesinde Boğaziçi'nde bulunur. İstanbul'u fetheden büyük kumandan Fatih Sultan Mehmed tarafından inşaa ettirilmiştir. Sultan, bu mimari esere çok önem vermiştir. İnşaatında kendiside görev almıştır.
Rumeli Hisarı ve Anadolu Hisarı birbirine bakan iki asker gibidir. Fatih Sultan Mehmed'in bu muhteşem eseri 31 ağustos 1452 de tamamlanmıştır. İstanbul boğazının en dar kısmında bulunur. İstanbul'a gelebilecek saldırıları önlemek için yapılmıştır. Şimdi, kültür ve sanat etkinlikleri ve büyük konser organizasyonları yapılmaktadır.
