I like to visit museums, because this is where history comes to life for me. Today it is really hard to imagine that the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy (1867-1918) was once the second largest country in Europe (after Russia) in terms of surface area and that more than 50 million people lived in this multinational state.
Hard to imagine, what a change -- but you did manage to keep the most beautiful parts ;-)
