The Origin of Muara Takus

The origin of the name Muara Takus temple is still a big question mark, there are two opinions about the name. The first opinion, the name is used because there is a small river named Takus. The second opinion, the name Muara is defined as two words: "Muara" means place to end river flow and "Takus" which means old and big temple (chinese language). Obviously not, the whole meaning is the old and big temple that lies at the mouth of the river.
