Hello @whatisnew and Happy Spring !!! Yesterday was the Vernal Equinox and the earliest spring in 124 years. We just went through a series of winter storms with sleet and hail so the insect population is a bit sparse on this warm sunny spring day.
No insects yet but I'm sitting on the deck with my camera so maybe =)
Also any thoughts on Hive ?

Happy Spring to you too Bud! I did hear that this was the earliest spring in 124 years. A lot of changes are among all of us right now. I hope the insects know that you are waiting for them on your deck. LOL!
About Hive...my head is spinning. I love the idea but for me personally I just have too much going on in my life right now and wouldn't even try to attempt making another change. How about you?

I'm going to do both Steem and Hive but I will do most of my posting from Hive. Your going to get a mirror of hive that is in your existing Steem account and all you need to do is log into Hive with your Steem ID and claim the account. Hive goes live tomorrow.
Also Justin is censoring(Steemit front end) post critical of him and any promoting the hive chain using a Chinese blacklisting service for it to boot. Posts censored on the Steemit front end only since he can't do it to the Steem blockchain, suggest you use an alternate front end like Steampeak to see all the posts. It's easy go here https://steempeak.com/
and log in just like you do on Steemit, it's better in more than a few ways. I used both untill I learned the ins and outs of Steempeak now I mostly use it.

1-Do I have to download anything to use Steempeak?
2-Can I still have my butterfly and insect giveaway on Hive?
3-What happens to SBI?
4-If I post on Steempeak, will it show up on Steemit?
Again Steempeak operates on the Steem Chain not Hive, anything posted there will show up on Steemit unless you get on Justins blacklist and they censor your posts(he is doing that now)
The hive goes live Friday and you can go to hive.io to access the chain and log in to your account with your Steem ID the first time and the get your account and keys for hive.
I do most of my posts from Steempeak these days I like the interface there.
Just go over and log in and check it out and check out the wallet there you will love it
I was able to log into Hive but not able to get into my wallet.
I am confused about Steempeak. You said that Steempeak doesn't operate on the hive chain, but you use it to post there?
Can I just post from Hive like I do here?
No I use Steampeak instead of Steemit to post and interact with the Steem Blockchain .
To log into Hive go to this link and log in with your Steem ID
https://peakd.com PEAKD is Steempeak's front end to the Hive Blockchain. Steem and Hive do not interact together, the are now separate chains. Posts to Steem will not show on Hive and vise versa

I'm sorry to intrude, but how do you get into your account on peakd? I can't see my wallet on hive.

To get into PEAKD go to this link https://peakd.com
and Sign in with your Steem keys plug in your posting and active keys, set a 5 digit PIN and unlock,enter the PIN again. You will have to enter the 5 digit PIN once again for any transactions that involve your active key( wallet transactions etc. to get into the wallet click you name in the upper right corner and select wallet and wallah your there.
Thanks for your help Bud! I should be on Hive now. I went to Peakd and signed in but I didn't have to set a Pin number to get to my wallet. Did I do something wrong?

Oh that's right, I used the new peaklock to sign in, it requires you set a PIN and use it. So no you didn't do it wrong.
