LASK 1-3 Liverpool

I am a Liverpool fan, unfortunately last year was not a great year for the team and we (not WE as in I having anything to do with it, just we as a fan), could not make it into the Champions League. We did make it to the Europa League however and we had our first match today.

We visited the Austrian LASK at their home, Ok, not a big power house team but in these type of tournaments nothing is certain. On paper the game was a walk for Liverpool, in reality it wasn't. In fact Liverpool started out losing, but it is the kind of game where the individual quality of the players gives you an edge. And this is what happened, Nuñez, Diaz and Salah had chances and didn't miss them.

So Liverpool take the first away game, I am nearly certain we will make it through this round as now it just depends on winning at Anfield, which Liverpool are real good at.

Once through, I guess then we will face tougher problems but being positive I think Liverpool should make it at least to the semi finals. Of course Premier League teams do have a very demanding schedule with all the local cups they play but I think Liverpool have the squad depth to face this.

An Europa League title sounds great to me, after all taking the Premier League title from City is a difficult task indeed, and a European title would be a good consolation.
