Production continues

As the coronavirus has increasingly become a public health risk, many movies and television shows have had to completely alter or suspend their production schedules. Most Netflix productions have done the same, but it seems like Season 2 of The Witcher may be the exception.

Netflix has suspended production of its series that are filmed in the US. USA And Canada for two weeks due to the coronavirus outbreak. As a result, series like Stranger Things have suspended production. However, Netflix is not alone, and other studios like Disney and Warner Bros. also decided to suspend production of many of their series. However, since The Witcher was filmed in the UK, it appears that this policy does not yet apply to its production despite the outbreak in the UK.

Although the coronavirus is causing the cancellation of events as important as E3 2020, it appears that The Witcher will continue to film without interruption at this time. So far there are no significant changes in the production schedule, so it can be assumed that things are progressing as planned. That being said, it is almost impossible to predict what will happen in the future. As the coronavirus outbreak continues or even worsens, particularly in the UK, Netflix may reconsider its priorities and halt production of The Witcher.

While on the one hand it is good to hear that the Geralt series continues as scheduled, it is important that public health is considered. At a time when many TV shows and movies are falling behind due to the coronavirus, some may think this decision is irresponsible on Netflix. The most important thing to keep in mind is ensuring the health of the cast and crew of The Witcher, as well as their family and friends. Hopefully Netflix will stop production of The Witcher season 2 if the coronavirus begins to present a clear danger to the people who work on it.
