Liverpool Defying All Odds
At the beginning of last season, watching the class of the coach and quality of recruitments Liverpool undertook made me address them as the only team that could wrestle the league title or English Premiership Dominance away from Pep Guardiola and boy was I right.
At the end of last season, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool team rocked Europe’s most prestigious trophy home and at the same time, chased Manchester City to the last league day of the season. They would end up losing the league title by a point but were consoled with a Uefa Champions League triumph.
At the end of last season, only few knew what was in store for English Premier League teams from Klopp the next season. Watching how powerful and relentless they were last season, I was forced to give them the nod again to be the top challengers of Manchester City but little did I know they were going to be more than just challengers.
Liverpool is currently league leaders with a thirteen point difference and a game in hand. They have beat every top team except Manchester United and hold a historical record of best start to a premier league season with 52 points out of a possible 54, which means the only team they couldn’t beat was Manchester United, how impressive.
As it stands, the EPL is Liverpool’s to lose. Although it is possible but I don’t see Liverpool ending this current season without an English Premier League title added to their trophy room. That long wait is about to be ended. UP LIVERPOOL!!!
