As I was hiding from the storm

in Qurator4 years ago

Hi friends! Forgive me for the three-day absence, just the weather and some personal circumstances for a while deprived me of the joy of running my blog.

So there was a labor landing on the field and a family weeding/plowing of beds. This day was extremely hot and wet (the extreme humidity made the air so thick that it was difficult to breathe, the impression that you are swallowing water). And by the evening it caused a fatal events.

In an instant a strong wind blew, dark clouds that swirled for about an hour on the horizon, suddenly appeared over our heads. Since my mother and I were in the field, we hid in a old trailerr, where we store various household items. We did it just in time, when only the first large drops of rain began to knock out the mini-craters in the dust on the trampled path. And then the heavens opened.

At one moment, so much water splashed from the sky that we would instantly get wet to the core if we did not hide in time. The hurricane wind turned the shower into some kind of horizontal rain, although no, the word horizontal will not be used exactly, just the top and bottom have ceased to exist, any directions for orientation have disappeared. Through each, even a microscopic hole in the trailer, splashes of water flew inside. We tried to be in the center of the room so as not to get wet, it was difficult because the trailer was very tiny.

Thunder and lightning were also present, but they were not the determining factor in this hell (ironically to use the term hell for the riot of the water element) that raged around. Lightning did not frighten, unlike the strong wind. Not far from us there was a loud crack - it was the wind that broke the birch. At this time it is very dangerous to be under the trees. The very next day after this storm, I heard the news that in a nearby village, a tree that could not withstand strong gusts of wind killed a girl. She was sitting with her friends in a summer gazebo when the wind blew. They fled to the house, but the girl forgot her mobile phone in the gazebo and returned for it. At that moment, a tragedy occurred.

We were lucky, we were able to hide from this terrible weather in relative safety. When the wind was not so strong, but the rain was still on, we were able to open the trailer door and look outside. Our field turned into a lake. Water was everywhere, puddles were even in areas with mown grass, which, however, disappeared an hour after the end of the downpour (this does not apply to puddles on the dirt road on which we returned home).

The storm severely damaged the main power lines, so we were left without electricity, water and internet for almost a day. This is the disaster we have suffered from the recent disaster.
