The central government is targeting a reduction in the stunting rate among children by 2024 to 14 percent nationally.

For this reason, it is hoped that the synergy of all levels of the provincial and district/city Forkopimda needs to be improved in taking steps to reduce stunting rates in their respective regions, including in Bireuen Regency.

"The central government has given autonomous rights to regional governments, so that government administration in the regions is more far-reaching and flexible in realizing community welfare, especially policies to reduce the stunting rate," said the Regional Secretary.
